n8n · the system leadership still runs

n8n’s team in Italy wanted to see how the platform was spreading across YouTube — and had no way to measure it. I built the pipeline that answered it, and it became a dashboard leadership relies on. When I finished my time there and moved on, they reached back out to keep it running. This is what “blueprint → building” looks like at enterprise scale.

How it works

A self-healing pipeline that runs every hour, hands-off — the AI sits in the middle, on rails.

Hourly, self-healing

Every hour it pulls the last 130 minutes of n8n mentions from YouTube — an intentional overlap so a failed run just self-heals on the next pass.

Dedup

A compare-dataset step drops anything it has already seen, so nothing is ever counted twice.

AI classification

An AI classifier reads each title and description to filter noise — in some languages “n8n” means music, not automation.

Supabase source of truth

Clean, structured records land in Supabase — the single source every dashboard downstream reads from.

Weekly refresh

A three-layer weekly workflow refreshes engagement across the whole set — a job that took four days on a spreadsheet and now finishes in about five hours.

Live Metabase dashboards that give leadership a read on the ecosystem at a glance.

Creator leaderboard

A leaderboard app that ranks and tracks the creators driving the conversation.

Flags videos pulling outsized views from small channels — the early signal of a creator about to break out.
