Ok ya’ll. Lets talk. People do a lot of bandwagon jumping without reading first. Lets start by talking about something near and dear to my heart. Facebook. I love Facebook! Facebook is a great medium for sharing ideas, images, and communicating. Unfortunately, people are easily tricked, and quite willing to jump on a bandwagon even if they are not sure what is going on. I urge you to do research before you so blithely repost things. Work around this rule. If someone says you should repost something for your own good, its probably a fake. Today, Steve Jobs, ex-CEO of Apple passed away (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011). Steve jobs was responsible for the meteoric rise of apple, from a lagging Computer company, to a company that has its fingers in many levels of technology, starting from the music player business with its iPod, all the way up to its iPad tablet, which has taken over the world by storm. It is a sad day, not just for Apple fan boys, but for everyone who can appreciate technology. Google adds desktop notifications for gmail!

A new option is available in google mail! It is called desktop notifications! And it is pretty cool! Google now allows you to set up popups on your desktop whenever you get new mail, or when you get a chat request. This further pushes the line from desktop apps, to web based apps.
